Regarding the Bragg's Coconut Amino, do I really need to buy another condiment? If yes, what else can I use this for?
It will be marginally better with it in there, but still amazing with out. You could also use half the amount of soy sauce.
Liquid aminos are a great umami builder and can be used in anything that lacks a touch of depth or body. When you taste something and it seems like it needs something more, this is the condiment to add. Add to salad dressing, fried rice, noodles or a pot of beans.
I made the bouillon cubes last weekend and did this soup last night. This one goes into the repertory! It is fantastic. I thought I had Amino Acids here but couldn’t find em in the pantry so pivoted to Worcestershire sauce about 9 grams. That was my only variation from the master recipe.
Making this recipe in a couple of days. You aways use very specific items in your recipes such as Bragg coconut aminos. However, you make no mention of the TYPE of red wine; Dry, sweet, fruity or tannic. Just curious. Jon
Well.. a darker red is my preference for this one, a little more tannic is best. But really choose a wine you want to drink with the soup and you will be happy. Any red will result in an amazing soup.
