My Joule has finally arrived and I am super excited!
For those still waiting, here was my timeline:
15 Jan -> Order Placed
21 Oct -> Shipping Address Verification Email
31 Oct -> Order Shipped Email
It only took 1 day to arrive for me, but I live in Oregon and they're shipping out of Seattle, so I had a pleasant surprise on my front porch when I got home after work today!
My first reaction was "wow, this thing is small!" I expected it to be small, given the reviews, but I guess I was still expecting something about the size of my Anova. The Joule appears to be about 40% smaller. Here's a side-by-side comparison:
Even the Anova clip looks super bulky compared to the Joule. Here's how they compare when placed in a pot (Searzall in background):
For reference, those are both identical All-Clad 4QT pots, which is my usual cooking vessel when doing sous vide for just the wife and I (I have some bigger cambros for bigger cooks).
Alright, enough fooling around, time to try this thing out!
