Yea! It works great. You don't have to just use it to cook. You can also set an alarm to go off when you hit your target temp.
Y'all are on a butter kick lately. Steak cooked with butter. Pork chops cooked with butter. Onions cooked with butter. Chicken cooked in copious amounts of butter. It's like Paula Deen is the head recipe author.
I'm not against butter, but I do try to be conscious of my health and the planet when I choose what to eat, and having butter with every dish is excessive and doesn't seem to improve many of these dishes…it just hides a lack of quality in the ingredients being used.
