Check out Flannery Beef (cited in Franklin BBQ's steak book). Uniquely, their most expensive "California Reserve" meat comes from steers from dairy herds, which, although it is not commonly known, turn out to have excellent marbling. They've been a cult among wine lovers online for years.

Also, 7X Farms, which has a herd with 100% Japanese bloodline bred in the US, without any cross-breeding to Angus or any other domestic breeds. Apparently there is some legal reason they can't say which Japanese breed it is, but you can tell from the photos on their website that it is Akaushi (Japanese Brown, in particular the Kumamoto strain, since it doesn't have a black nose).
