Is there any way to set a timer to start joule at a set time? Obvious application: eggs ready when you wake up.

Not yet. You can precook and warm them up.

There was some talk of it being a future upgrade to the Joule app someone back.

If you would like to see that as an additional feature you can make a support request withing the Joule app. Just to to support in the menu and click on "submit a support request". They have a lot of ideas they are working on and will focus on the ones where there is the most interest.
