Order dates

I ordered my Joule October 4, 2016 and the ship date is 6-8 weeks from order date. I see the previous order dates of January with receipt in October/November. Would it be more accurate to assume it is a ten month window instead of a 6 week window? I have high hopes for a 6-8 week delivery period.

I ordered May 28 and it now says "by Thanksgiving at latest." They've been catching-up over the past few weeks. Assuming there isn't a production problem, I'd assume the ship date they give you will turn out to be accurate or close.

Joule was back-ordered for a while and ChefSteps was not accepting new orders during that time.

Considering what has happened in the past I am assuming that CS is currently in " under promise and over deliver" mode...and 6 to 8 should be safe....
