I bought this knife for 20$ at a local hippie food shop 4 years ago. It has it's knicks and has taken some awful abuse in that time. I treated it as a temporary 20$ knife, but shes still going strong. Anyone read japanese? No idea who makes it.
I took some photos of the edge of my blade as I was sharpening it using increasingly higher grit abrasives.

Hey, Benjamin. The maker is named 'Seki Tsubazō'. A place called 'Seki' used to be one of the most famous village in Japan, as the town where the best swordsmiths live. Now the town has been known as a town for best knives made by swordsmiths. You may see some of real Katana currently made there.

My wife left one of my knives in the sink not realizing how quickly a high carbon blade can rust. It was in pretty bad shape but came back pretty well. Still a nick or two but worlds better.
