Fantastic. Any chance of a video coming? I have been practicing make similar chocolate cherries for my own black forest dish and have been struggling to get it to look like such a perfect cherry (although I am pretty fussy).

Why make spheres from half spheres and then carve cherries when you can just purchase an inexpensive cherry-shaped silicone mold to make ganache (or mousse) cherries?
