I got my two units this week (one to complement a PolyScience unit and another to start my brother off in sous vide, yes, a Christmas present) so first use was today.
I think the app has to improve because most of the time I was guessing how to do simple stuff, like connect to Wi-Fi instead of looking for the "csguest" Wi-Fi. Before connecting I continuously was told "not enough water", a real concern, thinking I may have to return the unit, but that was apparently due to no connection.
As compared to other thermometers, the temperature was off, but by only 0.5 degrees Celsius, which I will assume as ok.
I did get constant messages stating Joule had disconnected when it had in fact not, so there's an annoyance.
Finally, switching between apps or switching between features in the Joule app I was constantly greeted with a window asking if I wanted to disconnect Joule; another annoyance.
Overall, a great product I have very much enjoyed using.
