Why? I'm pretty sure that if ChefSteps had an issue with his posting this, they would have dealt with it directly. They're pretty good at handling what they consider problems. There have been many many posts and replied in the short time that I've been on this forum that ChefSteps has stepped in and removed. On some of them, a written reprimand has been sent out. However, they weren't so petty as to come here, and say "hey, we don't like your post, take it down" or "don't post stuff we send you." They really can fight their own battles if they even feel a battle is warranted. Unwind yourself.

I don't quite agree that everything must be kept private. However, I feel guilty because I received something and others have not (yet...?). I don't mean to brag or boast.

I checked my email late at night and was delightedly surprised and posted because I thought other forum members would open their emails the following morning and find something similar. This seemed to be a social media campaign with the expectation of sharing. Not pictured in the rest of the email was this statement...

With the exception of @The_Praetorian_Guard_Lt_General_452072 I don't think there's any comment below insisting that you keep this to yourself. I don't think anyone is upset that you got it, and not them. Maybe jealous, but hell, who in this wide world isn't jealous of someone else? I don't think anything you put here was boastful. I'm pretty sure you're good. Trust me, if ChefSteps had an issue with you sharing this, I'm pretty sure they would have taken care of this already in a private communication to you alone, either requesting you take it down or they having taken it down and giving you a reprimand, As stated below, they'll let you know if you make a mistake. I'm pretty sure most of us, if not all of us, are happy for you. The only thing I ask, and I'm sure others will agree, when you get that meat: PICTURES!!!!!

Apparently the point was missed here by many. While no one that is active in this forum is likely to be jealous of your good fortune (maybe envious like me

) we have seen the responses in the forum that start a complete shit storm and take away from cohesiveness. When you figure there were probably over 20,000 Joules sold and that Snake River Farms bundle retails for $50 there will be some some VERY Pissed off people when they find out they weren't included. The Lt General has a very sharp sense of humor, but he's a good dude.... He's seen a lot of Joule and CS hate that he takes personally because he (and a lot of the super-ancient forum folks) feel like a member of the extended CS family. I think he's just battle fatigued. (See his post above.)

I think you should get into a food photo duel to settle this.
