How often do you grocery shop?
JasonWirth_68226
Title speaks for itself.
But I'm also curious...
One shop or multiple? (or multiple shops on multiple days, like Mon. shop A, Thurs. shop
Bulk shop, or small things here and there?

Multiple shops: bulk stores, supermarkets, small grocers, and specialty stores: all as needed.

Multiple shops: chain grocery stores, specialty grocery stores and bulk stores. Farmers markets or my own garden in season. Direct from the farm. And occasionally on-line. All as needed.

As needed means no frequency? Like weekly, bi-weekly?

almost daily and usually for upcoming things I'm trying to put together.

Same as

and
@John_Fisher_218893
but almost everyday...at least 5 days a week locally and a couple of online shipments every week. In all fairness to that statement I do cook for the Wine store at least twice a week for Lunch and or tastings as well as experiment and feed the neighbors.

I am picking up something almost daily. A trip for staples, and things I think of ahead of time, weekly...usually at a major grocery store. My shopping trips often include multiple stops, and can include...Giant, Wegmans, Whole Foods, farmers markets, Reading Terminal Market, Italian Market (I'm near Philly), local markets. I mail order bulk spices, some baking supplies, and hard to find ingredients. The main challenge is that I usually make dinner plans daily.

Every 2 or 3 days I go grocery shopping. Costco about once a month.

I love Reading Terminal! Fun fun place to browse, shop and eat!!

Usually one long day of shopping at various stores depending on what's on my list of needs. Maybe it's my personality type but I like to know that if I want to bake a (insert name here) or cook off a (insert name here), I am but a few feet from a well stocked deep freeze, larder, refrigerator. Yeah, I'm kinda anal that way. So when something is on sale and my supplies are low (I really try not to run out of anything!), I stock up and am at the ready to prepare what we fancy on any given day. All that being said, usually once a week to restock the fresh supplies (veg, fruits, milk) and if the need arises, stock up on whatever protein, etc is on sale.
Here in Texas we have an awesome grocery chain called HEB. A couple offshoots of those stores are the HEB Plus (bigger selection and lots of household and other stuff) and Central Market, their very high end (sort of like Whole Paycheck) without the high prices. We also have Sprouts (great for fresh veg), Phonecia (hello awesome olive oils, semolina and 00 flours at extremely reasonable prices, plus TONS of stuff from around the world).

Veg, dairy and such daily or when needed, staples H-Mart and Costco, protein fill the freezer deals like half a cow or pig.

Typically once a twice a week depending on what's going on. I go to multiple stores, specialty (wine, bakeries, etc), high end local stores, Costco. Since I'm an equal opportunity eater, I also never turn down friends and neighbors who have local proteins. For example, our local Slow Food chapter has teamed up with the 4H kids for a heritage turkey auction.

Really, as needed. There is only two of us. We go at least once a week and up to five times.

At least an hour every day, hitting at least two places, even when I cook for just my wife and I.
Sprouts for fresh produce; Whole Foods for chicken, some cheeses and produce; Tom Thumb dry for goods and grass fed Australian beef; Sam's Club for lamb, some beef and pork (I buy a case - 24 racks - of NZ lamb every 6-8 weeks); Super H Mart for most Asian ingredients and live seafood; TJs (local chain) for other seafood; Fiesta for Hispanic goods and rabbit; World Food Warehouse for Halal and Middle Eastern goods, whole goat/lamb, and offal; numerous small Asian markets for hard to find pork cuts, duck parts, and Buddhist style chicken; and then a bunch of smaller places for other odds and ends.
Online is mainly Hudson Valley Foie Gras for foie and duck fat; Amazon for some bulk hard to find flours.
A normal week I do shop, prep, cook, serve and clean dinners for 5-12 people five times.

Busy guy! I'm surprised to hear that Fiesta has rabbit.....fresh, I assume?
Tim_Sutherland_52834
Frozen product and less than half the price of other places. Central market carries rabbit at times and it is always frozen. The only fresh rabbit I have seen are the ones I catch myself.
