How long should it take a large cambro from 125F to 170F?

It's been close to 3 hours. It's at 153F.

Do you have a picture of the container? Unless it's giant, that doesn't sound normal.

How big is the container? If your talking a normal 3-5 gallon cambro it shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes at most. I think you have an issue.

My regular container is a 15L Cambro and it's gone from 41 F to 149 F in about 70 minutes (which was faster than the Anova)

I measured my water volume. I was trying to heat just under 40 liters. I realize that's the max water volume. I was at about 4 1/2 hours and still at 160F when I gave up. I should have used a smaller container for my cook, but wanted to see if it could work at this volume. I'm thinking it would have taken between 6-8 hours to get up to 170F. Is that normal?

Hi Nell...please see my post above for further info on the volume of water I was trying to heat.
