egg calculator

Maybe it's somewhere on the Joule app and I didn't see it, but why not having the egg calculator in the Joule App, being able to set your preference and voila, Joule is set and ready to go with you preferred egg settings?

I think it was in the beta version and removed because there's such variability with cooking eggs that people weren't producing consistent results. I, for example, can't seem to get what I'd like. Do a search and read byrdie's adventures.
I just use the egg calculator on the website.

i'm still trying to cook an egg that would have a nearly set white and a liquid yolks. i can't seem to be able to get there, the yolks is always fudgy or the white is snotty and i have to discard it. i usually use traditional method like poaching or boilling for my eggs.

I have not yet received my joule, but I plan to start with
THIS
recipe. To have a firmer white and runnier yolk, the key is to cook it more like a traditional poached egg. High temperature, for longer.

You are correct. The egg calculator was in the beta version. Eggs have so many variables, freshness, grade, size. It makes them difficult to get consistent results.
