Really enjoying the new Joule. Much easier than my previous two sous vide units. But something disturbing happened tonight. I was doing carrots for an hour. About half way through, the Joule turned itself off and I didn't notice for about 15 minutes. I then saw on my Joule app a message that the Joule had disconnected from the app.
The temp had gone down about 10 degrees by this time. A brief message flashed up about a "software update"...so maybe that did it? Now I'm nervous about leaving it going overnight to tenderize a chuck roast. I would suggest that either losing contact with the app should not turn off the unit, or that updates not be automatic (so we can supervise the process). Restarting the Android tablet allowed me to reestablish contact between the app and Joule and finish cooking. But still...
