I have an Anova and a Joule. The Anova is a big heavy monster of a machine.

I have both but the Anova works perfectly well. Still a good price point. At the end of the cook it tastes the same.

That is for the bluetooth version. Wi-fi version is more.

Yes, I have the Wifi Anova and of corse the Joule. However, most of the time I just use the manual operation on the Anova. I guess wifi is a nice feature, but I have never cooked anything from beyond the confines of my house and I probably never will.

So, I had an Anova before I had a Joule - startling revelation right. What might be more interesting....

Last year, after maybe a dozen cooks, Anova 1, born in February '15, quit. As I recall, it simply quit. Anova was great standing behind it and Anova 2 was born last February. Over the holidays, I noticed the clip on A2 was broken. I contacted Anova. Then I did another cook and did a temp check with my after Christmas Sale Thermo-Pops. Testing this unit I realized that it's cooking a full 10 degrees off, A2 is overstating the temp. Mind you, A2 has done maybe 5 or 6 cooks during '16. Again, Anova is standing behind it, but my replacement rate is off the charts.

Let's hope Anova 3 has a longer life.
