Why do you want landscape? Seems portrait works well. And it fits the way I hold my phone.

Because I use a iPad and having it that way gives it a lower center of gravity thus less tippy when it's in my table top holder. Also I like reading things that way, I can't remember the last time I voluntarily used portrait mode. And if charging the cable gets in the way I have to put upside down and that brings the screen off/on button into play.

For me it's really about the iPad. the phone ..... meh

Ah, iPad. Nuf said. I agree. Mobile UI/UX needs to account for screens larger than a phone. The thing is, the app is all Angular under the hood so it should be rather doable.

Yeah rather than posting a comment that clearly aimed at us being whiners you might have had the courtesy to ask why. Also see above👆to see how that's done. So by all accounts you would consider anybody who might want a "feature" that is not available yet, a complainer. And finally, what was the point of your post? Was it helpful to anybody?

I can understand that some may prefer it different, and it would be nice if it could be either way, I prefer it the way it is. Just my 2 cents.

Was really surprised when I originally noticed that it didn't support the basic feature.

My sense is that you're checking on consensus before making a support request. Yes. I prefer landscape for reading on my iPad. Other than setting temp/time, I rarely use the Joule app on my iphone. Same thing for the ChefSteps app. My hearing may be great but my eyes aren't. ☹️️
