Thinking of getting a dedicated Cooler for Joule

Loving the Joule!

I have been looking at getting a cooler for just Joule and I have I think narrowed it down to either a 25qt

or it's same footprint but deeper brother at 33qt

they are about the same price (~$20) and have fully removable lids. Is there any reason why I should get the larger of them? Or is there something else that would be better.

I have a 45qt fancy cooler (rotomolded) already and was looking for something that I can just keep as Joule's new home.

Same footprint... go deeper as you can always put more water in for the big item long cooks. For most cooks I use a 3 gal pot on the counter.

Nice coolers, just a heads up, that's a lotta water / lotta weight. Keep in mind you have to empty the thing when you are done.

The bigger one will give you more options as to what you can cook.

You don't always have to fill it. As long as the food is submerged, it has enough water.

That's a lot of water to heat and it will take some time. Because of weight, I would probably go with the smaller one. The larger one might give you more options though. Is this what you planning on using for every cook? If not, and you use other vessels for regular cooks then the bigger one would make sense. I regularly is a 3 gallon and a 5 gallon cambros and even the 5 gallon gets heavy.
