You're going to love it! I splurged on the VP112 a few years ago and haven't looked back. Put some tequilla and watermelon in a bag (or some gin and cucumbers... or some rum and pineapples) if you haven't already.

Nice!!!!!!!! Well played hairy!

Now you need to make room for the Spinzall.

It looks like Molly is almost as excited and trying to help you open it. Have fun, I will never get tired of watching cool water boil, or watching a marshmallow grow and then collapse. Compressed fruit..... Oh yay or just seal something. I use my VP215 much more than I ever thought I would, almost every day. If you haven't already sign up for an account at

. They send emails for specials on bags and other things, during the summer they ran a buy two get one free special.

Hairyotter replied to me, I see it in my notifications but not here. First time I experience the disappearing post syndrome. I know many of you have mentioned it.

Your are right about needing to make room for a Spinzall, I'm not sure I'm doing it right. So I've got the spinning thing down (still get a little dizzy), but where do you put the liquid?

Here ya go Byrdie, it's just a dark nasty cave, but one of these days I'd like to turn it into a fancy butlers pantry to match the rest of the kitchen.
This is the door to my pantry, it was salvaged from a radiology office. The door is leaded and so is the glass, mucho heavy. It used to be the back door to my house but moved it here when I remodeled my kitchen in 2007.
I don't know if you're into old appliances but this is the original stove and frig that were in my house when I bought it 35 years ago. Now they live in my guest house. My house was built in 1924. used to be the ugliest house in the neighborhood, now it's not.
It's a Chambers Stove and Servel gas frig. Stove has a pop up broiler and built in slow cooker.
I've upgraded a bit to Viking and Miele. :-)
I love copper!
It's a modest space, but I make do.
This was all made possible because of the oil and natural gas boom in the early 2000's
This is Pop, she and her sister Pip (not pictured) were rescue kittens found inside a wall at a construction site last year.
And Molly, she's a bit chunky. Spends lots of time in the kitchen.
There... I showed you mine, now let me see yours.

I've been having post disappear too from other threads. Not sure what's happening.

Congrats! You're going to love it and use it far more often than you thought!

You've certainly packed a whole lot of goodies into your pantry! You've done a great job of utilizing what space you have available. Not everyone has the availability to even think about extending kitchen storage so on that front, I think we are both very lucky! Your kitchen is stunningly beautiful! Love the stove (love retro stuff!) and since art deco is my absolute most favorite thing in the world, I will let you send me those salt and peppers sitting atop your stove! I can't believe you found your kitties in the wall of a building and they survived!! Astounding!! Molly looks very happy and satisfied but then she's found the best place in the house to hang out, right!? ....
Here's the link to my kitchen and pantry pics....house flooded so we had to gut the walls in every room and start over again....don't really want to have to do that again!!

I'll check out that link.
And good eye-yep those salt/pepper shakers were a very rare find.
What's really rare is having the inserts to that well/slow cooker. Pip and Pop are very lucky cats. Someone heard them meowing for several days behind a wall, a contractor had to open up the wall to get them out. Have no idea how they got there. This is a crawl space between 2 buildings that they were pulled out of. Darn cats cost a fortune to be rescued.
This is what they looked like when they were pulled out of that hole.
Can you say, "ring worm?"
Here's Pip's first night at her new home.
Here they are a few months later. They cleaned up quite nicely.
You get me talking about my children (pets) and I'll never stop...
The rest of the family...
It's like Dr. Dolittle around here.

Congrats! Not that I'm jealous....

OMG how awful to have flood damage. I can't imagine the pain. The kitchen does look nice all put back together. I love that island and the storage underneath it. And your pantry, spice racks, the cabinetry, you did a great job. It's amazing how no matter how much storage you have it gets filled. Nature hates a vacuum. Thank you for sharing.
hairyotter_273859
Thank you Matt.
Darn it... I knew I should have bought a bigger Vacuum sealer.
(Just kidding folks)
