I used to play the Garrison Keilor show when it was based in NYC with one of the former fiddle players from Asleep at the Wheel. 'Course, I'm a Texas boy (old school), but you knew that... a little trivia, I was in high school with Bob Will's daughter, we were in the same art class for 3 years

Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys! Wow....that goes back a ways, doesn't it!!! Nobody did San Antonio Rose like they did. That's really the best of Texas swing! My husband and I used to hang out at a country bar (this was back in the late 80's) where Asleep at the Wheel played. Once the bar closed up for the night, we ended up in their bus, having a good ol' time!
