Software update - pissed off

About two hours into an 18 hour cook Joule shut down. I checked the app and it said (in a snotty, bratty tone) "I need an update". Joule did not accept attempts to wait for the cook to be done so I had to pull out the PolyScience Sous Vide Professional to do the job. If I had not had a back-up, I would be way more than pissed. When I tried the update, it failed. only like five times.

Really guys, software needs to be friendly and if you are already cooking, it should calmly wait its turn.

Mine came up with the same message when I went to start a cook, and I clicked no and I could set the temp. I only use bluetooth as both Joules keep dropping the WiFi password.

I remember a thread not to long ago that was about this very subject. I can't remember the outcome though. Maybe give CS a shout and go from there.

I've seen the update notices but never has one interrupted my cook. It would be a real bummer if you weren't around to catch it!

@Emmett_Barton_12803 is a good place to start. I would also submit a support request in the Joule app. This should get you a much quicker response.

Thanks guys. Tim, maybe mine wouldn't budge because it was connected to wifi. I already did the update (and I DO have to say appreciate it now remembers by wifi network) and this is past. But is is an annoyance and it would have been a big issue if i didn't have a back-up.
