Those bags look very interesting. Thanks for the info pd. Any thoughts on what micron size would be good for clarifying a stock. Or what micron size to try first.

I believe there's a few on here hat did (perhaps

). I've heard good things but still tend to use and reuse cheesecloth.

I have two, it's cook, but it's kind of a mess to clean and resuse, I ended up leaving them on the shelf and using multi layer of cheese cloth. They are not bad mind you, just a hassle. I use cheese cloth and discard it.

I'm using them all the time as a reusable filter when I do all kind of infusions. Just made a lot of tinctures and coffee filters would have been much too long! You just have to rinse them well after. The 800, 400, 250 and 100 microns are approximately equivalent to

,
#40
,
#60
and
#170
sieves.

Thanks for the info guys! These are the answers I had preconceived in my mind since first seeing them.
I'll probably get the coarse bag and go from there .
Have a great weekend everybody ☃️🍷

Have three. Like them. Hard to clean. I used my sieves more.

They're rebranded paint strainer bags with a thousand percent markup (or worse). I have two; never use them. I haven't found anything you can do with them that you can't do just as easily with a chinois (or sieve) and cheesecloth. And they're a bitch to clean.

That exactly what I thought when I first saw them... paint strainers! I've put thousands of gallons of paint on things over my life (family of landlords)!
Ok ... thanks Mr. Byrd! Without seeing one in person I needed guidance.
Thanks again to all for your opinions!!
Cleaning... the best way... blow'em out with compressed air
