Metal meat grinder attachment for kitchenaid
Gil_Wertheim_46509
Hey all,
I don't want to waste my money on one of those crappy plastic kitchenaid meat grinder attachments.
Can anyone suggest a stainless steel alternative. I did find something but has anyone had experience with this specific model or company

Are the plastic ones bad? To me the difference is only in the housing, one has metal the other plastic. I think you really want to care about is the gear mechanism inside of the stand mixer. Would much rather have metal gears in there and then plastic. Whether or not it’s plastic or metal housing, that seems irrelevant. I don’t own a stand mixer, so take this with a grain of salt, that’s just my two cents.

I have the smokehouse chef grinder and have no issues with it. My Kitchenaid grinder started to show signs of wear, housing had hairline cracks, so I replaced it.

can't see your post (link blocked at work). But I have this one, and it is great.

Majority of reviews from many websites are positive. I have the plastic and steel one and have had good luck with it thus far. That said, I only use it a dozenish times a year (the kitchenaid much more so).

I'll eventually be purchasing the Chef's Choice that Wes linked to. Looks great
