Joule app for older Android versions?

I wanted to install Joule on an older version of Android, but the PlayStore says I need Android 4.4 or newer. I have 4.2.2. Is there an older APK available somewhere?

Also, my intention is to install Joule in an Android emulator in Windows. That seems a much more convenient way of controlling Joule, and would answer some of the critics (me included) who find the requirement to use a phone for this app a major inconvenience.

Other than that, great piece of equipment. I did a bottom round roast yesterday which was unbelievable, especially with the addition of a 2 hour pre-cook smoking session in my Traeger at about 150 degrees.

Got 'er fixed! Joule runs nicely under MEmu when upgraded to Android 5.1. A major convenience, since I can run it right on my kitchen PC. I'm looking forward to trying the new upgrade for tablets.

TheSweetHome.com said they can't recommend Joule because it requires an app. There's a grassroots effort to build a Windows Store app (https://github.com/mitchcapper/JouleUWP) that I hope to contribute to. I completely support the lack of controls & screen ... but that also requires you have apps for every system.

RE: Android version
It's hard for mobile developers to keep track of OS version requirements. You must be diligent about what systems/libraries/SDKs your app relies upon. It's all too easy for one programmer to innocently use something that causes your app to require a higher OS version than before.

(My company's apps run on the original Nook and iOS v7 ... just because. ps - I'm Seattle-local if you care to chat.)
