Sign in for website v. sign in for blog comment

Hi hard working team!  I have enjoyed the site and expect to be back often.  One obstacle that kept me from commenting on a blog post was the requirement to sign in to the blog.  I was already signed into the website, or thought I was, and did not want to sign in again.  Is there a single sign-on (SSO) and I just missed it?  Or are separate sign-in's required?  Thanks!

Nope, you are quite right, we use disqus for our comments on both the blog and recipes; it has its own sign-on procedure. It does have an SSO capability we could try to integrate, but we've also been pretty tempted to replace disqus with a different system and unify comments and the forum somehow. In any case, we agree it isn't ideal.
