'Unlisted' recipes

TL;DR: could we have a mode for user-authored recipes where they're not published fully, but are available to people who have the direct link?

I'd like to use the CS site for recording my recipes, but I'd like to do so for recipes that are in-development still... I don't really want to share my V1 recipes with the world, but it would still be helpful to be able to share the recipe with smaller groups of people to get advice/feedback/etc.

What I'm proposing would be like the 'Unlisted' mode on Youtube - the recipe is publicly accessible, but doesn't show up in any searches.

i know you can upload your recipes to the community recipe gallery. I'm not sure if you can edit them once they're published, but it may be a place to start

Aside from feeling uncomfortable that I claimed that URI with my crappy first-iteration improvised thing... the units are all vague, the photo is bad, and the dish itself needs deeper flavour and elaboration (e.g. maybe next time I should put that burger in, say, a bun...). Hardly worthy of a place in the gallery, y'know?

I could just make notes offline, but it's really helpful to have the CMS here all ready-to-go to write down what I actually did, so that I can share it in a limited sense - for example, posting it in these forums to ask for suggestions on how to take it further.

If you feel that your work has such a long way to go before it's ready, why do you want a way to put it online in the first place? Chefsteps, for a while, was doing a recipe development series, and posting recipes that were tweaked along the way and their personal thoughts about said alterations: some good, some not so much. It's completely up to you too share something or not to. There is an option to put it online, but to keep it private, but again, you have so much insecurity about your first go round, why even bother until you're finished developing the recipe?

Because an important part of developing a recipe is getting feedback from my peers. There is a difference between sharing something quietly, and putting it in the gallery - essentially how much it is advertised/showcased.

And yeah, the recipe development series is one of the things that inspires this way of doing things.
