Weird problem I'm having; the basic forum functionality (posting, uploading photos, etc) is completely inoperable from work now. I can read the forum, but the text fields and image upload simply are unresponsive. Clearly, as evidenced by this post, I have no issues accessing from home, nor have I experienced anything amiss accessing the site from a mobile device connected to an 'open' router in the office or via the VZN 4G network.
I'm pretty sure has something to do with my company's janked up IT policies*, but his is the only site that I visit from work that is so affected, and that includes a variety of other message boards. As such, I thought I'd share with the team here to confirm if there is anything screwy going on.
* For example, our corporate HQ in Tokyo mandates that we download and install every single Windows update (we're running XP) that comes out on Patch Tuesday. Even the ones that include Bing Toolbar and other features that end users aren't allowed to have installed on their machines. So we install all the updates (end users are responsible for basic system maintenance like Windows updates and virus definition updates and Adobe updates, etc) when they are published, and then someone from IT comes around to each user and manually goes in an disables Bing Toolbar. *sigh*
