Just found out that in order to use my new Joule Turbo I have to install a new app (different from the same app I've always used). I must have missed the memo but have spent way too long dinking around with location settings, uninstalling/reinstalling the (original (only-one-I-knew-about)) app to finally find a bare hint of a clue that there was a NEW app necessary to run the Turbo...and, that, apparently, it is new enough that it won't run on my (admittedly somewhat old) tablet that I use in the kitchen for such things.
As an OG Joule evangelist, it was really nice to be offered a discount to try the Turbo but it would have also been nice to be warned about the requirements ahead of time. Couple that with the complete lack of information on the Support feed and FAQ, I have to say I'm disappointed. The only reason I figured it out was because I clicked on the link (out of curiosity) for why the app icon had turned gray (the bare hint of a clue referenced above).
So, if you've purchased a new Turbo and found yourself here, quit banging your head against the wall and download the the new app (search Breville Joule in your app store). It has the familiar red icon we've all come to know and love. Hopefully your device is new enough to be able to run it.
