Can't seem to make the Community Recipe input work

Twice now I have tried to put up a recipe that someone asked for but I can't seem to make it work. I put up the ingredients and get the first step down and then there is no way I can find to put in a second step. I'm really frustrated now as I have lost all my work both times. Can you help?

To add a second step, make sure the first step is open for edit and click on the + button at the bottom left of the first step.
