I'm brand spankin' new here, so forgive me if this has already been addressed or I am missing something. Where do we post threads and pictures about current modernist recipes / dinners / experiments? I'm assuming they'd go under 'off topic' since they aren't part of the coursework, but in OT there is only a newbie forum and an advanced forum. It would be cool to have an area specific for showing our current projects, as well as a spot to go for inspiration. I hope this isn't inappropriate to ask after.

I just made my own thread so I don't clutter up the forums, I just add a post to the thread when I make a new dish, this way I can search back and find successful recipes and combinations that I have already made.

@Shannon – Welcome to ChefSteps. Feel free to follow Mason's lead and create your own thread to show of your cooking skills. At some point, we hope to create easier ways to associate photos and recipe with individual profiles, but that feature is still a ways off. If it becomes very popular to have individual user threads, we'll find a way to organize them.

And please, do share your work, it's an opportunity for everyone to learn from each other. And that's one of our big goals.

@Shannon I have really learned a lot from Chris and Grant but I have learned WAY more than I thought from the other members of the forums and it's that willingness to share their ideas, experiences and thoughts that really make this one of the best forums (of any kind) that I have ever been on. Don't be shy, like @Johan said most of us don't care what anyone else thinks but if you can take some sort of useful idea or information from anything we post than it was worth posting! If no one shared anything this forum would inevitably fail. I know that won't happen because @Chefsteps won't let it, chris and Grant and the whole team are ALWAYS on here it;s pretty amazing, and the way they have set up the forums with Vanilla 2 means that the good people will stay and the bad people won't, that combination will make these forums flourish so why not be a part of it!

Thanks you guys, I really appreciate it! This site has been such a huge source of inspiration to me, and I just joined. I am so loving the frequency of posts by everyone on here, and the sharing of information has been huge. This is such a great site!
