Hey had a few thoughts and hope they are helpful.

I think that if the subject line or post title was the only thing displayed with any images used as a thumbnail to the left of the title this would allow to see more of what is happening without scrolling as much.

Possibly clicking on the title would then expand to show the whole post with the option to then expand the comments without navigating/loading another dedicated page.

A different colour (orange maybe) for new or unread posts and comments would also be cool.

These are just thoughts and I think so far, this is looking amazing, great work.

Yes please, I agree. A Forum is not a blog, the initial beta format has too much on the screen to make it easy to focus on the quality content. Thread topics should be bare and efficient, only when the user enters the thread should there be an abundance of content visible such as pictures, videos or replies.

I spent many years managing one of the worlds biggest forums, I like the direction you are going with the beta but I am fearful that form will overtake function. Forums are all about functionality and efficiency, I hope you provide a default efficient theme, and if the user choses to display more content from the individual posts in the thread view then you can provide that as an option at that time.
