Initial impression...lots of clicking and scrolling!

I just joined the beta today and the first thing I noticed was how much I have to click and scroll!

Because images and the first few lines are shown in the view there's a lot of scrolling just to get through a few posts, even when I'm not reading them! Given the condensed number of forums/categories/sections I think scrolling through new posts is going to get very laborious, I feel my RSI symptoms screaming just at the thought!

When I click more on a post I'd like to see the replies expanded at the same time rather than make it another click, after all, I said I wanted more than just the summary so why not give me it all?

I have a pretty wide screen and the width of the post list doesn't appear to scale to take advantage of this so I have a narrow section in the middle with the content in it but lots of whitespace on either side, could the window width be used to dynamically scale the content?

Just my first few impressions, I'll give more feedback as I get used to the change

A couple of other small things I noticed, once I create a new post there is no link back to the section I was in, the back button works but it would be nice to have a link in the page that takes me back to the point I was at before posting.

I couldn't edit my post until I went back to the main list and then back to my post. Edit was available, and appeared to have an action (button in the bottom right became "Save") but I couldn't get a cursor in the post content.

Lastly, I also couldn't post a comment without going back to the main list, the reply box was there but wasn't enabled leaving me clicking around wondering why it was there if I couldn't use it?

On a related note, it would be nice if the discussion categories (all posts, bugs and features, recipes, etc.) would freeze at the top of the forum page when the user is scrolling through posts. This way the user can easily change between discussion categories rather than having to scroll all the way back to the top of the page to do so.

When I first took a look at the beta, I was using my phone. All in all the whole thing feels really clean which is something I love about both the forum and site itself but I'm inclined to agree with the point about the margins; it does make for a lot more scrolling, and as for myself as well as I'm sure a few others, we come into conversations a bit later on in the game where we are trying to catch up with the discussion as quickly as possible and I feel a wider margin would make the posts seem smaller and a bit less overwhelming.
