Just a heads up. The end user is unable to create hyperlinks in the newer 64 bit versions of chrome. I am able to in the 32 bit version, or in IE.
*Did not test in FF, Safari or Opera.
Environment: Win 7 / Chrome Version 38.0.2125.58 m (64-bit)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Navigate / Login to Chefsteps.com
2. Click on Forums
3. Click on Create new post
4. Enter text in the dialog box below the title
5. Select some text
6. Click on the Hyperlink button at the bottom
7. Enter a valid URL when prompted
8. Click 'Done'
9. Click outside of the URL box to return to dialog box
Expected results:
The selected text is highlighted blue and underlined. It references the link entered in step 7. User is able to click this and is prompted with a visit URL / Change prompt
Actual results:
Sometimes (usually the first time) the user clicks on the hyperlink button and the dialog box pops up and disappears very quickly. Trying again seems to allow the dialog box to open as in step 4, however after clicking done in step 8, the selected text does not change to a hyperlink.
Workaround:
Don't use the hyperlink function in the posts when using the 64 bit version of chrome. Instead paste the entire URL into the post. It will render itself as a link, although not ideal.
