Printing

I have been following ChefSteps for about 6 months now, using various computers to access the site. I have never been able to get the print function to work on any machine. Then its a agonizing copy past routine that is far from optimum. What am I doing wrong? Thank you

Yeah, I've never been able to get that to work either. I just load the page on my tablet now

Are you using the print button or File > Print? What browser are you using?

On a side note, we realize that printing is a pain, and its also been a pain for us too. The kitchen actually prefers to print all the recipes so we have plans to improve printing not just functionally but also visually.

I'm on internet explorer 11. I have tried both the print button and file print creates a wonky look. My wife is now snipping and pasting into word but that is very time consuming and formatting is very bad. We have tried the tablet as well but when you are trying to prepare a couple of recipes it doesn't work as well. How about a HUD on the kitchen window? :-)

A HUD would be the dream! As for current technology, try using Chrome or Firefox. We admit we haven't done enough testing on Internet Explorer but you should have a better experience on the other browsers. One of the ideas to make printing across the board is to have a downloadable PDF for all recipes, but that takes a significant amount of work so it wouldn't be a quick fix.
