Image Scaling

Does the forum automatically scale down large images? i tried posting a jpg with the rough dimensions of 700x1200 and it's getting resized to basically a thumbnail even when it is clicked to expand and the text is therefore unreadable.

Not sure about the scaling or if there is a default size, but, I have often thought a zoom function on images would be cool and also if several images are in a post being able to view them one after another whilst still enlarged would also be ideal.

Thanks for the post Brendan. We do scale down the image in the post just so we can show more content in the previews. Then we show as much as we can in your browser in the expanded view on click or tap on mobile. If it's a giant image then the next best thing is probably right click and open in a new tab or save it.

We used to show all images at full solution but it just made you choose had to spend a ton of time scrolling through giant images while simultaneously destroying their data plans

Yeah we really want to build that. Particularly on mobile where it's a pain to close it and scroll to the next image. It would be nice if you could just swipe to the right and get the next photo
