Size limits for pictures?
Brendan_Lee_56950
Is there a MB size limit for the attachments we can add? I tried to attach some photos to my post and they wouldn't show up as attachments nor would they work if I linked through URL which has worked in the past. I believe the file was 6.6MB in size.

I think the problem is that they don't size and scale.
@Michael
- if you want a java lib ping me.

Hmm, I don't see any indication that there is any setting I can change for a size limit. The fact that it wouldn't show up using a URL is pretty suspicious though, b/c those are hosted elsewhere so it shouldn't care about the size. What was that failure mode? Can you attach a screenshot?

It just reverted to a blank comment. The progress bar loads, the % goes up to 100% and then it just resets and I start all over. Same for the URL's I add them and nothing shows up, just as if I hand't completed the action.

Hmm, yeah, I just tried with a 7 M file and had the same experience. This one is 3 M and seems to be ok.
@Johan
, the forum is a SAAS solution, so I don't get to add any code to it. At some point we'll probably go to self hosted and then we'll have much more control.

One more try of a 7 M file...

Oh, you know what, it is just the feedback. When I posted the 7 M file, it looked like nothing was happening after the upload completed, but then I pressed post and it showed up fine.

Yup, it's just the feedback, I tried it again and just hit post and it worked.

I didnt know that you were a #real java programmer. Much respect.

@Mike
, don't know if I'm real - I do dabble
Mike_Minh_Truong_54120
Very funny. My living confidant, Al Hulsen, who happens to be one of the founders of National Public Radio (NPR) likes to use the word dabble alot too. He always uses it in the context of "I like to dabble with tube amplifiers."
