Can't Post Pictures

Was just trying to share last night's meal in the "What's for dinner?" thread and was unable to post the image. Tried sharing from both Picasa and Facebook photo albums in both Chrome and Firefox browsers (most current versions). The text would appear normally, but using the attach image button would result in nothingness. (The pop-up window for attaching the image URL would appear, but wouldn't actually insert the link with the HTML code into the text box.)

Are you using the picture image above the comment box or the "Attach a file" button below the comment box? With the latter, you won't see any feedback, but when you press Post Comment, it will appear... like this one.

I'm using the little "Image" button above the text box, between the "Code" and "URL" buttons.

I'll be at work in 90 minutes or so; I'll try from there and see if maybe something is wonkified on my PC at home.

Hmmm, that's weird. Was able to post the pic just fine from the work PC/network.

I post pics from Photobucket and I just paste in the HTML image code rather than using the image button in the forum, and I have never had a problem, except for run on sentences.

@Johan Edstrom - thanks! Compressed celery and fennel, fried pumpernickel croutons. Evoo, lemon juice. Shaved frozen blue cheese. I'm serving it at a charity dinner tommorow, but am adding some pickled grapes for one more accent.

It's weird..... just tried again from home and the 'Image' button just doesn't work. Same browser at home and work (Chrome 26.0.1410.43), but no luck.

Neither the Attach a file nor the Image button work for me either. It's been giving me trouble for a couple weeks now. I've been posting elsewhere and linking to the url using the simple html code. It works, but it's been frustrating.

I haven't been able to get the image button to work but the attach button has worked albeit in a weird way. I attach files and the progress box will run through it's percentage uptick and then disappear and if you take a leap of faith and post the comment anyway it usually shows up just fine.

Mine shows uploading bar but it never upticks and eventually just disappears...It doesn't show up in preview, but I guess I haven't taken the leap of faith yet and tried to post. Well, no time like the present...

By the way, that's @Grant's Coffee Butter Steak and Spinach, Cryo-Fried (first attempt at that and I like it!). No sorrel here, but I added some chicory after wilting the spinach. Good stuff.

I should say it was an improvised cryo-fry. No liquid N2, so I just stuck them in the freezer for about 15 minutes. I'm wondering though if I could wrap in plastic wrap and place between two blocks of dry ice to get a better freeze on just the outside crust.

I've shaved a few fingertips with the mandoline, oil seems to be my downfall.

Oh, the backdraft and explosion in the brinkmann smoker wasn't that cool either.

@Brian I have been having some photo issues too, I want to post results on the pectinex ultra spl trials I've been running but after I click attached file it processes for awhile and than just stops. I am using my iMac and iPhone with might have something to do with it? I've tried safari, chrome, and firefox all with no luck...

FWIW, when I had a Vanilla forum, I used the following post editor plug-in.

I didn't have a single issue with it.

I want to thank you all for your help in finding these bugs and I hope this fixes most of your issues. Either way, we're working hard to find a better, long-term solution to improve our discussion forum.
