Messaging Sidebar

I got a Facebook-style instant message / chat sidebar when I opened up the website today, with a message from Tim asking for feedback. I X'ed out the sidebar and now it seems to be closed for good with no clear indication on how to get it back. Anyone have any insight?

I get those every once in a while. I don't know how to get it back if you close it, though it will save any messages you've received for the next time it pops up. You can respond to the direct message, and create a new message, but I'm not sure where that new message goes to. It doesn't let you specify an address or user that I can figure out. It looks like an interesting start to a possible PM system, but maybe not fully implemented yet? I just sent a test message out via the new message feature. I'll let you know what happens..

Answer from @Tim Salazar is that sending a message via sidebar goes to the entire ChefSteps crew - same inbox as info@chefsteps.com. I don't think it works to send a private message to another member...(yet? *crossing fingers*)

FYI, this if Intercom a SaaS we use for product research, customer support, some other stuff. We're in the process of doing a lot of work on the site, and one of those pages we'll add a way of getting back to the chat sidebar. In the meantime, email to team@chefsteps.com goes to the same place. Let me know if you have other questions, thanks for the feedback.
