comments in chronological order?

I'm not sure why the discussions are in reverse-chronological order. every time i read an OP i have to scroll down to the bottom and dance upwards. is there something obvious i'm missing here?

No. It's part of the format of the new (now, somewhat old) forum. I intensely dislike this part of the design.

Here's a thread on the issue from a couple years ago when they first introduced this format. And another one from the same time that finds the post ordering confusing.

The new format is also difficult to browse and makes it so that posts more than a week (or so) old will never be viewed by anyone who isn't using the search engine.
