The Android Joule app likes to freeze

Here are two examples:

• When using the "FAQ" link. You cannot come back from that screen unless you kill the app. I think the app isn't frozen, but the back button isn't hooked up correctly, and the close button doesn't do anything.
• When the app wants to communicate with Joule and Joule cannot be reached. For example, with Joule off, go to settings and try to rename it. You end up on a screen blocking on trying to contact Joule and have to kill the app (or, presumably, power Joule on). One should be able to use the back button to cancel and go back.
