On the web version of recipes, clicking 'scale' allows one to custom scale to any amount; very nice if you only have a certain quantity of a certain ingredient. On the ChefSteps App, you can only scale to specific amounts (1/2, 1/4, etc). Especially as new Joule app is coming out soon, is there any plan to add this…
Just a friendly suggestion to perhaps create a Feedback category. I think it would help clean up a lot of the other sections and give the community a place to provide constructive (or not so constructive) comments.
I'm not sure why the discussions are in reverse-chronological order. every time i read an OP i have to scroll down to the bottom and dance upwards. is there something obvious i'm missing here?
Is anyone else not being able to see all the comments on the forum? It is only loading part or one or two comments then the rest is blank. On this one you can see Michael's name but not the comment. This is on my iPad with Safari. My computer with Chrome works fine. It was working just fine yesterday, so I am assuming…
I'm not sure what's up, but I just wrote a couple of posts (or replies to posts, to be more accurate) and they didn't go through. I submitted them multiple times, but nothing posted properly (and I checked in multiple browsers). I turned off my VPN client and my posts went through as usual. Did you change your security…
Sad thing I have just discovered is that all Forum history/entries is gone after the most recent 10 or so posts. So, if someone asks a question, and it is answered, everything appears to get deleted and if it is an active forum, in 90 days - POOF!What a shame! So many of the questions are of general or specific areas of…
Just a suggestion for possible features with the website:When you click on a recipe or video or what have you, the internet address reads as http://www.chefsteps.com/activities/... Would it be possible to give members access to the activities archives: just to browse through what's there? I notice that there are several…
When someone makes a comment in the discussions under the recipes, if it was in reply to something I'd commented, I used to get notifications when I logged into the forum. The first time I noticed this was back when you posted the cake recipes, however, I have gone back through some of the recipes posted more recently, and…
...Seem to break after a certain level, and things get posted back to the main thread. I have not been able to determine the exact level, but you can see evidence of it in several recent threads in the Joule section. This may be related to posts still showing up as Anon, because that is still happening from time to time.…
A couple of well updated sticky posts at the top of the Joule forum would probably help on the churn of questions there about dates, and also keep the responses curated and productive. Just thinking out loud...
